Riverbend Farm is one of my favorite natural places in the whole world!
Also, in my art practice I love complementary colors and how they support each other, how they bring out the best in each other.
I wanted to play with color harmonies in a painting of this special place and this is the result..
Now we can walk together in this magical place.
I painted Riverbend Farm on sanded paper, in pastel – my preferred medium because of the vividness of the colors and all the ways pastel creates different kinds of marks.
It’s beautifully framed, featuring museum-quality glass (so it feels like there is no glass at all!) and the full size including painting and frame is 19 x 17 x 1.5″.
